Biochar-Based Pellets for Crawl Space Moisture and Odor Management
SDG-7 is a pelletized carbon material made from biochar derived from woody biomass
and blended for underfloor humidity and odor control applications. It is designed for residential
crawl spaces and enclosed areas where moisture, musty odor, and air quality are common
concerns.
Pellet form helps reduce dust during installation and improves handling in narrow
underfloor spaces. As a biomass-based product, it can also support carbon reduction and circular
resource initiatives.
Features
- Supports Underfloor Moisture Control and Deodorization
- Helps moderate humidity fluctuations beneath floors and can be used to reduce musty odors or trapped smells. It may also support improved ventilation conditions and overall comfort in residential spaces.
- Designed with Safety in Mind
- Unlike ordinary charcoal, SDG-7 is formulated with reduced flammability characteristics, making it more suitable for residential applications. Appropriate use depends on the installation environment.
- Lightweight and Easy-to-Install Pellet Form
- Its relatively light bulk density makes it suitable for retrofit projects and easier transport into existing buildings. Pellet form also helps reduce dust during installation.
- Environmentally Responsible Material
- Made from recycled biochar resources, contributing to lower environmental impact and resource circulation.
Main Applications
- Moisture and odor control in residential crawl spaces
- Humidity, mold, and odor mitigation in older homes
